Home Fires

More than 3,000 people die in home fires every year. Many of these deaths occurred in homes without working smoke alarms.

Protect yourself, your family and firefighters by installing and maintaining smoke alarms in your home. Do your part to get out before firefighters risk their lives to come in.

Install smoke alarms both inside and outside of bedrooms and sleeping areas and on every level of your home.

Test them monthly.

Change the batteries as instructed.
